Following on from the success of 2019, the Corpus Christi College Ball 2021 will be a night to remember. We aim to create an event celebrating the truly unique experience that is studying at Oxford and being a part of the Corpus community, and indeed our collective hardiness as a student body in navigating the ever-changing world around us.
The 2021 Ball will unite the pleasure of contemporary life in Oxford with the College’s rich tradition and past. Coupling the College, with its regal architecture and luscious gardens, together with incredible food, music and entertainment, it’s sure to be an unforgettable experience.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are doing everything we can to make sure that whatever capacity the ball is realised in come the 8th of May 2021, those who attend are safe both physically and financially from the impacts of coronavirus. All measures are being put in place with help from the College and Oxford City Council to ensure we comply with the most current guidelines. Our priority in the (hopefully) unlikely event of a total cancellation, due to a local lockdown or a change in regulations regarding large gatherings, is getting all of those who have bought or reserved a ticket a full refund or entry to the potentially postponed ball the following year.
However, we are aiming with cautious optimism to plough ahead and provide an event which can bring the Corpus community together again after struggling through such volatile times.
Great things are in the works. The theme of the ball will be released in 5th week of Michaelmas Term 2020, in the form of an online launch event- keep your eyes out on our Facebook page for updates on this. Shortly thereafter, tickets will go on sale (see information below). In the meantime, sign up to the mailing list to make sure that you don’t miss any announcements!

The committee are currently looking into ways to implement a deposit system in which a small deposit is paid upon ticket release and the remainder of the balance is paid in 2021 (date TBC).
The JCR will take applications for a grant to help cover the cost of a ticket on a case by case basis- Please contact Gaby or JCR class rep Ellie (email@example.com) for more information- this will be completely confidential. We will do our best to help the ball to be as inclusive and accessible as possible.
